A spherical capacitor consists of a solid or hollow spherical conductor of radius a , surrounded by another hollow concentric spherical of radius b shown below in figure

if Va is the potential on inner shell, Vb is the potential of outer shell then

Va=Kq/a
Vb=Kq/b

resultant potential
V=Va-vb
V=Kq[1/a-1/b]
V=Kq[b-a]/ab
But we know that

C=q/V
so C=q/Kq[b-a]/ab
C=ab/K[b-a]
Put K= 1/ 4 π ϵ o
                                         
 C= 4 π ϵ o[ab/(b-a)]
